WORK DAYS
Part of
being a member of the NILBMC might mean you get the chance to have your
LBC worked on by fellow club members. We try to schedule regular "Work
Days" or "tech Sessions" each year.
Every Spring, we have a day at Bob's shop, who has two lifts and plenty of room to get cars in out of weather if necessary, to clean out the winter cobwebs, change the oil, get that project done that you didn't get around to in January. Always well attended, there's even a card game going on in the house with the women.
A few years ago, while our club president was in the middle of the Pacific working, we stole his long non-running TR3, rebuilt the carbs, the brakes, cleaned the spiders out of the distributor and the mouse nest out of the trunk, to surprise him when he got home from his travels. Many years had gone by that he kept saying, "I plan to work on it next summer." He was touched.
The following pics are from our first "work day" where we worked (or told our wives we were working) on Bruce's TR6. As you can tell there was a lot of 12 ounce curls being lifted!
